On Windmill Balk Lane is the Outwood Academy Adwick school, which replaced North Doncaster Technology College in 2009. The building houses an exhibition about the local history of the area.
Craft District
Located on Windmill Balk Lane is the Outwood Academy Adwick which opened on 1 September 2009, replacing North Doncaster Technology College. The academy is a complex of buildings that was previously the co-educational Percy Jackson Grammar School of 1939 and the Adwick School of 1965.
In the village itself are a number of listed buildings, including those in the model village Woodlands built for Brodsworth Colliery and designed by Percy Houfton in the Arts and Crafts style. It is also home to a church.
