Kato Achaia railway station is a railway station in the northwestern Peloponnese region of Greece. It is served by Proastiakos suburban trains. It is on the line from Tithorea to Aigio and the line to Kiato.
This is a single platform station. It is located near the crest of the mountain, close to the road bridge over the river. It used to be part of the Patras-Kyparissia metric gauge railway line but closed as a passenger line in 1957 and as a goods line in 1962. The station building and most of the tracks on this old line, however, were retained and are still in use.
On 29 February 2020 the station became a terminal when passenger services on the new Patras Suburban Railway line from Agios Vassilios to Kastellokampos began, extending west to Kato Achaia. This extension runs on a section of the old Athens to Kiato / Pyrgos standard gauge line, but as the electrification has not yet been completed it is operated with diesel units.
The Kato Achaia railway station is also the starting point for OSE Bus Line Patras-Kiato, which connects the town of Patras with both Diakopto and Kiato railway stations. Buses run every two hours from 07:37 to 14:37. Hellenic Train offers itineraries to and from this station as well.
