Moulins-sur-Allier is a commune in central France on the Allier river. It is the capital of the Allier department. There are a variety of things to see and do in Moulins. The National Centre for Costumes is one of the many attractions worth seeing.

National Centre for Costumes

The museum includes more than two hundred historical costumes and more than fifty modern reproductions. The exhibition Putting on a Show highlights musical costumes from London, New York, and Paris productions. This is a unique way to experience the history of musical theatre.

Located in Quartier Villard, the Center is open to the public every day. It is closed on December 25, January 1, and May 1.

Train station

Moulins-sur-Allier train station serves the town of Moulins. Located in the Allier department, it is on the Moret-Lyon railway and the Montluçon-Moulins railway. It also serves the Moulins-Mâcon railway.

You can easily reach the town center of Moulins from the station. The main tourist attractions are within a few minutes’ walk. There are also several bus services that run throughout the city. In addition, there are designated wheelchair-accessible routes that travel through the city center.

The train station in Moulins-sur-allier is located 3.5 miles north of the city center. This station also serves several nearby towns, including Chezy and Lusigny.
