Torre del Mar Station Restaurant
Torre del Mar is a lovely coastal town with a relaxed retro vibe. It’s a popular choice with sun seekers who prefer to stay away from the tacky mass tourism that blights other coastal towns. Its long promenade, the Paseo Maritimo runs parallel to the dark blue sea and is interspersed with cycle lanes, beach running track and restaurant terraces.
During the summer it is very much a holiday venue to mainly Spanish families who flock here for a seaside break that avoids all the crowds of other Mediterranean resorts. There is also a large water park, Aquavelis that is open from mid June to September with lots of slides and other fun activities for kids.
There are a wide range of restaurants in Torre del Mar including some excellent fish and seafood eateries. La Cueva is a great choice that serves superb clams and all manner of other seafood dishes. The food here is fresh, simple and very tasty. Another recommended eatery is Jordi, which is set back from the main promenade and away from the beach bars. Here you can sit indoors or on a patio and enjoy delicious tapas and raciones (similar to small plates).
The local culture here is largely influenced by Christianity – specifically Roman Catholicism. There are many religious festivals held throughout the year that celebrate the Virgen del Carmen, Romeria de Carbrillas and San Isidro among others. During Semana Santa Torre del Mar’s streets come alive with processions, music and dancing.
For shopping needs there is a large supermarket called Supermercado Chari. This store is not far from the train station and stocks a wide variety of food, drinks and household goods. There are also some smaller shops in the main street and along the promenade that sell clothes, shoes and swimwear.

Port de la Selva Station Restaurant
The town of Port de la Selva is a perfect place for a relaxing beach holiday in the Catalonian region of Spain. Located in the Cap de Creus natural park, it offers plenty of water sports and hiking opportunities.
