2. Lee Valley Park

Enjoy miles of traffic free walking and cycling, or take a boat trip on the River Lee or visit Three Mills Island. Here you can see how the 17th century Gunpowder Mills was used to produce explosives.

Or try a more gentle experience with an activity like horse riding or ice skating. For the kids, the Lee Valley Park Farms offers animal petting and soft play. There’s also a ‘World Beneath Your Feet’ area which is dedicated to the world of creatures found below the surface.
3. Lee Valley Park Farms
Comprising of 2 farms, this popular visitor farm yard attraction is a great way to get closer to nature and learn about the farming industry. Besides visiting the working dairy farm you can also go for walks, visit the animal zones or play on their soft play areas. Regular themed weeks and events make it worth checking out too.
In 2021 Marsh farm was taken over by the Partyman group and renamed Lee Valley Animal Adventure Park, they have expanded the attractions by adding in a zoo licence and added a few exotic animals like meerkats. You can still see the working dairy farm and if you’re lucky you may even catch Tex the Tractor doing his rounds.
Kids will love the Hilltop Adventure bouncy pillow, Spider climbing tower or pedalling around in mini tractor rides. They can also dig for dinosaur bones or head to Bundle Barn for some soft play.
4. Zebra Ceramics

5. Jungle Falls
There are a number of activities to choose from at Jungle Falls, but the most popular is the log flume ride. Riders climb a tall wooden tower and are sent down a pair of parallel water slides in inflatable dinghy boats. The waterslides briefly flatten out in the middle, causing riders to momentarily fly through the air and splash down into the lake below.
The park also features a topiary elephant, giraffe and crocodile at the watering hole. Other attractions include a playground, soft play centre, the jungle cafe and the William Morris Gallery. Jungle Falls is home to the world’s longest double water slide. The attraction also references Albert Schweitzer’s discovery of the Schweitzer Falls. A barrel of the, “Backside of Water”, was once shipped to Marshall College as a joke by cast members and later retconned into the attraction’s backstory.
6. Lee Valley Park Farms Visitor Centre
The kids will love feeding goats, pigs and rabbits here. There’s also a meerkat family to see as well as soft play zones.
The two farms, Hayes Hill and Holyfield Hall are a short drive from North London in rural Essex. There are plenty of farm animals here to meet including sheep, rare breed pigs and cows. Kids can even hitch a ride on Tex the Tractor to a nearby cow milking barn.
Spanning from opposite The O2 to Hertfordshire, the Lee Valley Regional Park is home to world class sporting venues alongside heritage sites and nature reserves. Families can enjoy traffic free walking and cycling, bird watching in the wetlands, white water rafting at Lee Valley White Water Centre, track cycling at Lee Valley VeloPark, tennis at Myddelton House Gardens, golf at Rye House and horse riding at Lee Valley Riding Centre.
7. William Morris Gallery
Dedicated to Victorian artistic designer William Morris, this museum displays the world’s most comprehensive collection of his work. This award-winning gallery – a Grade II* listed Georgian mansion in Walthamstow – gives pride of place to the wallpaper designs he famously created for his interior design company, Morris & Co, but also includes tapestries, furniture and stained glass windows.
The venue also offers a range of talks, tours and interactive sessions for families. The venue also provides resources for teachers and pupils to use at home, developed as part of the gallery’s education programme.
